The following is the solution for the hunt. Enjoy !
The rock is found on the west side of the legislative building. On the rock, you needed to find a word with animals in it. Further, if you knew that a group of lions is called a pride, you got an extra hint. The word you were looking for was "rebellions".
Finding the poem shouldn't have been too difficult. We used this as a reference. Once you found the poem, you had to find the two words "left hand".
The author of the poem was Al Purdy. There is a statue of him in the northeast park of the park. Once there, you were told to look under his "left hand". You should see the name of the sculpture Dam de Nogales. Specifically, you wanted the word "Nogales".
Fairly easy to find the memorial. You were looking for the work "APELDOORN".
The sign you were looking for discusses King's College. The last word of the first sentence was "Strachan".
Ok. So now you should have the words "rebellions", "nogales", "apeldoorn" and "strachan". You were told to order the letters like:
aaaabcdeeeeghillllnnnnooooprrrssst
Prime numbers? What are prime numbers? Now that you know what prime numbers are you need the first five, greater than 2 not including 7. This means you want the letters in positions 3, 5, 11, 13 and 17. Next, you need every number evenly divisible by 9. So you need the letters in position 9, 18 and 27. Finally you need the letter in position 6. You should have the letters:
"a", "b", "c", "e", "e", "h", "l", "l" and "p".
Ok. Let's unscramble the letters. Did you get "Pale belch"? Hmmm.... "Pale" could be "India Pale Ale", beer makes you belch... Is the composer "Alexander Keith"?
Actually no. If you came up with Alexander Keith, you were way off. He's a good Canadian reference but we were looking for "Pachelbel".
Anyone that took music in High School likely knows the piece of music we are referring to. It also happens to be very popular at weddings. Interestingly, it is also very popular to cover with rock guitar. Yes we are looking for "Canon".
Canon=Cannon. Have you seen a cannon anywhere in Queen's Park? Actually, there are two. Both from the Crimean War. The one below is the one you wanted and was west of the south entrance to the legislative building.
Of course, we're talking about George Brown. He is on the south side of the legislative building, just south of the parking lot on the west side of the path.
"Help Caleb" happens to be an anagram for "Pachelbel". The following was what you had to find:
