Solution to Hunt: A New Beginning

The following is the solution for the hunt. Enjoy!

Clue #1

Ok, let's get started. Throughout the mall, you needed to find a bunch of stickers and on each sticker there is a code. You don't know what to do with the codes yet...

Clue #2

It was hardly "fair weather", huh? If you looked outside Fairweather, beside the bench on the post, you would have found a sticker with TC3.

Clue #3

Hmmm. The trick here was to pick up on "didn't" and "hard" and "mocked". Something not hard is "soft" and "mocked" gets you to SoftMoc. The sticker NN2 was in the alcove to the left of the store.

Clue #4

Terry was in high "spirits" and was ready to paint the town "red". If you made your way to ESPRIT, the sticker was found on the back of the bench outside the store. The code was RE7.

Clue #5

The most northerly store in Markville is Sears. Next you had to know that duvets are found downstairs. If you looked in the alcove to the left of the Mall entrance to Sears, you would have found the sticker with the code EA8.

Clue #6

Something fresh in a pinch? Well pinch is like squeeze and so you had to make your way to Freshly Squeezed. In this case, the sticker was on the Information sign exiting the food court on the way to Freshly Squeezed. The code was WG9.

Clue #7

This one could have been tricky. There are lots of wedding traditions and how does half a wedding tradition relate to a store? We were looking for the saying "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" but only half of it. We were looking for "old" and "blue". Navy is a colour of blue so we were looking for Old Navy. The code here was US2.

Clue #8

If you were stuck finding where Terry bought her boots, this clue should have helped.

Clue #9

This was another helper clue in case you were stuck finding the store where Terry bought her sweater.

Clue #10

In case you were stuck, this clue should have helped you find the store where she bought her duvet.

Clue #11

This hint made finding this sticker easy.

Clue #12

This should have really helped you if you were stuck.

Clue #13

Ok. Now that you have found all of the stickers, this clue helps you figure out what to do next. If you took the letters as instructed, you should have got "ENTRANCE9".

Clue #14

In clue #13, you figured out the answer was ENTRANCE 9. Now you had to go to Entrance 9, by Shoppers Drug Mart and find the code IC6.

Clue #15

Hmmm. There are lots of places to get your picture taken in the mall but we told you she got 4 photos taken (including that she wasn't ready for the first one). We were referring to a photo booth but there are two. So which one? In this instance, we gave a hint to "lofty" expectations referring to the photo booth nearest "The Loft". The code on this sticker was ER3.

Clue #16

A suitable word to describe a dense rainforest is the word Lush. The code found on a cabinet just outside the store had the code ES7.

Clue #17

Likely the trickiest of all clues, the hint referred to "yellow brick road" and "ruby red". Both of these were references to the movie The Wizard of Oz. The most famous song from the movie was Over_the_Rainbow. Rainbow was a reference to "Rainbow Handbags & Accessories" found on the upper level at E12. The sticker here was below the hand railing outside the store and the code you sought was ST4.

Clue #18

There are several excellent shops in Markville where you can buy a cell phone. Yet the clue told you to think how sound travels. Sound travels in "waves" and the store we wanted you to find was Wireless Wave. From the food court, the code was found in the alcove to the right of Wireless Wave. The code was VE3.

Clue #19

An extra clue told you the cosmetics were made by hand helping you find Lush if you were stuck.

Clue #20

These helper clues tied the hint to the movie and in turn a song from the movie.

Clue #21

These hints told you that these were intended to point you to a photo booth.

Clue #22

Now this is where everything comes together. If you had collected all of the codes from all of the locations, the next set of clues will tell you what to do with them. You were told that you would be creating puzzle pieces that would eventually fit into a 5x5 grid.

Clue #23

If you followed the instructions correctly, you should created two puzzle pieces that looked like:
