How do mobile treasure hunts work?
Clues are released on the hunt start date (specified by the hunt organizer when
the hunt is purchased). Each team reads their clues using a
web enabled mobile device. Teams must visit a pre-determined number of locations. At each location the
teams have to take a group picture, as well as answer a location specific question. When the correct answer is submitted (via
their mobile device) their next clue is unlocked. When all locations have been visited teams are presented with a final
puzzle to solve in order to finish the Treasure Hunt. Learn More about Mobile Treasure Hunts

What if a team gets stuck on a clue?
Leisure Rules treasure hunts are designed to be fun and challenging but NOT
impossible. If a team does get stuck on a clue they have the option of getting a hint by selecting the 'hint' button.
Using the 'hint' button results in a team losing points! In the unlikely event that a team is still stuck after using the
'hint' button they have the option of skipping a clue. Skipping clues affects a teams points as described below.
How are teams scored?
Scoring for a mobile treasure hunt is done automatically using the point system described below:
- Each time a team submits the correct answer to a clue they get 100 points.
- Each time a team asks for a clue hint they lose 50 points!
- Each time a team submits an incorrect answer to a clue they lose 10 points!
- If a team chooses to skip a clue, no points are awarded and the next clue is unlocked. Any points already
lost for hints or incorrect answers remain.
The winner of the treasure hunt is the team that has the most number of points after completing the hunt. If any
teams have the same number of points then the team that finishes the hunt first is declared the winner!
What is the lurker account?
The lurker account is a special account used by the hunt organizer to
follow teams as they progress through the hunt. All the answers to the hunt are shown here as well as team rankings in real time.
